Home Stretch

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of the day I would own my first home. I was always my mom's buddy when it came to looking at, touring, and daydreaming about beautiful houses. I remember the day after I got my driver's license, I drove around all my favorite neighborhoods (in New Orleans) looking at all of my favorite houses.

So pinch me! Now that the day has (patiently) come that Jeremy and I are buying our very first home. We fell in love with this house the very first time we saw/walked through. Every house afterward seemed like a waste of time or possibly confirmation that we really loved this one and it was "the one".  We recently got past the most stressful parts: home inspections and appraisal, and now we are on the home stretch for (hopefully) moving in late next week. We drive by the house at least once a day. We are so excited! I've spent (probably too many) hours on pinterest and other blogs looking for paint colors for each room, and I can hardly wait for August 27 to determine the paint color of nursery/Pearce's room.

Oh my gosh. Emily!! That is SO cute!! I LOVE it. Congrats! I am so glad I'm not the only one who drives by their house, getting excited to move in. when we moved from our Seattle rental to our house, I would drive by ALL the time, hoping and wishing the short sale would finnnnaaallly pull through for us, and wishing I could just move in already! :) I'm so excited for you guys! Love the red door and cute character of it... such exciting things in the near future..baby, house. so fun!

p.s. I forgot to respond to your question. ruby hardly uses the ipad because max is always on it, hahaha. he likes battleship and some other games, but honestly i haven't downloaded any aps for Ruby. so share some good ones you found for P! Maybe if she had more interesting stuff on there, she'd actually use it more. She doesn't even know how to turn it on, LOL.

p.s. I also made your thai chicken peanut dish the other night and it was SO so good. thanks for sharing!

i use my nikon 35mm f/1.8 99.9% of the time. i rarely change it out, mostly b/c its my only "non-kit" lens.
